Come see what we're all about!

Where are we?

We are located at 2490 Prescott St. SW in Byron Center, MI.

Our beautiful building. Built in 1874, the church has undergone three separate renovation and expansion projects, leaving us with what we treasure today!

Our Services

Our blended worship service contains elements of both traditional and contemporary praise music. All are welcome to come learn from God's word and celebrate the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Kids' Time will be available during the service!

Come worship with us every Sunday at 9:30am, followed by coffee, desserts, and fellowship. If you are unable to attend, check out our services on YouTube by simply using the search term "Byron Center United Methodist Church Service" or click on this link: Byron Center UMC. Don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel so we are easier to find in the future!

Our Core Beliefs

Holy Bible

We believe the Bible is the true, inspired living Word of God, that the Bible is without error, and is essential for teaching and directing our lives as believers.

The Trinity

We believe that God is the one and only God, who exists as three divine beings; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each figure has a different role in our lives, but all are equally worthy of glory, honor, and praise!

God the Father

We believe that the Father is the creator of the universe. He is all-knowing and all-powerful, having ultimate authority over all creation. We believe that He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins, and that He sent the Holy Spirit to humans as an advocating source of divine authority. Only He knows the true time of Christ's return.

God the Son

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God came to earth in human flesh, was born from the virgin Mary. We believe that Christ's life and His messages teach us how to live our lives as believers. We believe that Jesus Christ was mocked, beaten, and crucified as a sinless man for the forgiveness of sins to bring us into right relationship with God. We believe that Christ rose from the dead on the third day and later ascended into Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe that Christ will someday return to earth to collect His bride, the Church.

God the Holy Spirit

We believe that God the Father sent the Holy Spirit down to earth to be a seal for the children of God. We believe that the Holy Spirit has many roles in believers' lives. He is our Advocate, Comforter, Encourager, Counselor, and Helper. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and He is the revealer of all Truth. We believe the Holy Spirit gives the Body of Christ gifts to aid the spread of the Gospel.
